Mobile website design with Drupal

Just starting a mobile version of http://websiteplus.com.au. Whilst putting together mobile website the plan is to use Drupal as much as possible.

The requirement is to present a mobile version of website that enables person visiting to get contact details, see latest posts and complete a form.

Easiest solution is a design that can be viewed on mobile.

Whilst it is very possible to have special small screen version of website, the question regarding what to show (and what to not show) needs to be answered. What I have found whilst reviewing all this is that for many websites (this one included) is that it is not possible to only show some content.

Backuping a step.

The more I think about this the more I have realize that it is critical to focus on what you want people using mobile web browser to do.

I have been monitoring my own use of iPhone browsing and web apps usage. When I use a mobile device to access the internet it is for a reason.

In http://websiteplus.com.au there are several classes of content type. These range from resources, hints, how-to, FAQs, blog posts, products and pages.

Before proceeding will do survey about what is most useful website content for mobile device.

What is the mobile usage case for http://websiteplus.com.au?

Maybe a gateway for search so you can simply type and the website does the legwork.

Thanks for feedback. Easy search means faceted search. For faceted search to work well content will require good taxonomy/catalog/tags.
