Is your website content still as good now as it was when it was first posted?
People search until they find what they want. It is the job of your website to help people whilst they are looking to understand how you can be of value. If you present too many different messages you run the risk of people not understanding how you can help.
As a website grows there will be more and more pages. Unfortunately some of the content will no longer reflect the message that you are trying to deliver. On a regular basis it is important to review the content in your website and make sure that it is still relevant. Reviewing content means deleting or making changes.
One way to review your content is to consider how each page works with your value proposition and website call to action. A value proposition is what you want to do for your customer. A website call to action is what you want people to do. For each page to be convincing it has to show how it can be of real value and should help people with what you want them to do next. If you are unsure about the call to action or the value proposition presented by your website then it would be a good idea to review these first.
Another way to review content is to have a look at your website analytics. Your website analytics will tell you what pages people like.
Is your website content still as good now as it was when it was first posted? Sometimes it is a good idea to change what was good so that it is still good now.
