A screen shot can be useful when creating documentation or when your attempting to explain a technical details about what is happening on your computer.

To create a screen shot on a Windows computer follow these steps:

  1. First, put on screen what you would like to capture.
  2. Next, press the Alt and PrintScreen keys (Alt-PrtSc). The PrtSc key is usually found on the right top part of key-board. When you press the Alt-PrtSc keys a copy of the screen will be pasted to the clipboard.
  3. Finally, you can paste the screen shop to a HTML email, word document, etc.
