Images in Drupal

Handling images in Drupal can be made real easy with the ImageCache and ImageCache Actions contributed modules.

ImageCache lets you download an image into your Drupal website and setup rules for how you want the image displayed. Rules can be triggered based on how the image is viewed. For example if the image is in a teaser, list or grid then you can have a small image. If the image is to be featured it can be made big. All you have to do is download the image and set the rules.

Imagecache with imagefield and CCK enables images to be used with nodes (like fields on a record, or rows in a spreadsheet). Using views images can then be reported on using various criteria and presented in tables, grids, etc. Thickbox can be used to create presentations where images can easily be browsed.

ImageCache Actions lets you add effects to images like watermarks and rounded corners.
